Consultancy
Our expert has worked as a media consultant in the framework of a project entitled “Study and Research on Election Media Coverage for 2016 Parliamentary Elections in Georgia”, implemented by United Nations Development Programme Georgia (UNDP) and supported by the European Union. The main objective of the project is to promote a peaceful, free and credible media environment during the 2016 parliamentary elections in the country. The project aims provide evidence–based assessment of media performance, contribute to improvement of media reporting standards, and strengthen media monitoring capacities of Georgia civil society organisations.
We are supposed to ensure that local organizations implementing the project - Charter of Journalistic Ethics, Civil Development Institute (CDI) and Internews Georgia – are able to analyse data, and write reports in full correspondence with recognised international standards and practices. In addition, we provide assistance in the preparation of the evidence-based assessment of media performance and the development of recommendations on the improvement of reporting standards. A one-day media monitoring workshop took place in Gudauri, Georgia, on 5 August 2016.
