TRAININGS FOR JOURNALISTS IN KOSOVO
Our expert worked as a trainer & consultant for the OSCE Mission in Kosovo conducting trainings aimed to build capacities of local/regional media representatives from Kosovo. More specifically, the training covered different segments from the scope of elections, including but not limited to the coverage of election administration, voter education, appeals, and complaints, with the main focus on political parties and campaign at the local level. The training also covered international standards for the media reporting on elections, Kosovo electoral legislation framework, and the position of new (online) media and their position in the process as a whole. Moreover, the training included ethical issues and other challenges with the coverage of elections, like coverage of the central and local authorities, the position of incumbency and coverage of small parties. The expertise included also preparing a handbook for media reporting in elections, to serve as training material.
