WORKSHOP ON DISINFORMATION IN SERBIA
Our experts conducted a two-day intensive workshop in Belgrade from 10 till 12 April to assist the Belgrade-based Center for Research, Transparency, and Accountability (CRTA) in enhancing its existing media monitoring efforts focusing on detecting and exposing the dissemination of disinformation, particularly disinformation from abroad. The workshop was held thanks to the support from the National Democratic Institute (NDI) Serbia. Our experts also assisted CRTA in the design of an overarching strategy to detect, define and expose disinformation, misinformation, fake news and related news items. The strategy incorporated existing best practices, recent examples, and leading theories in the field. Moreover, our experts also helped in the creation of a structured methodology to capture, define and utilize relevant disinformation/misinformation/fake news.
