MEMO 98 Joins the European Partnership for Democracy

Strengthening information integrity, civic engagement, and democratic resilience through a new European alliance

MEMO 98 is proud to become part of the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD) — a unique Brussels-based network of specialist organisations working together to strengthen democracy worldwide

#Strengthening Democracy Through Partnership

We are honoured to join the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD) community — a Brussels-based network comprising twenty specialist organisations dedicated to advancing democracy worldwide.

EPD’s mission is to “support democracy around the world by coordinating and leveraging the collective knowledge and capacities of European democracy-support organisations.”

Its 2023–2026 strategy focuses on five interconnected priorities — Information Space, Institutions, Inclusion, Innovation, International Policy and Infrastructure — areas where MEMO 98’s long-term experience in media and elections may add practical value.

#MEMO 98’s Role in the EPD Community

Based in Slovakia, MEMO 98 is a specialist media-monitoring organisation with more than 27 years of experience in analysing media coverage, supporting fair elections, and strengthening information integrity.

Over the years, we have carried out projects in more than 60 countries, providing expert analyses on behalf of international institutions and offering technical assistance to both official institutions and civil-society organisations.

Since 1999, MEMO 98 experts have participated in over 130 international election observation missions across five continents — from the United States to Iceland, Tanzania, and the Philippines.

As part of EPD’s Information Space priority, MEMO 98 will contribute its expertise in media monitoring, disinformation analysis, and civic education, helping ensure that citizens across Europe and beyond can access accurate and balanced information.

We will also participate in EPD’s Working Groups, sharing insights from Central and Eastern Europe on how to protect public trust in elections amid growing hybrid and digital threats.
